Wind Rock Ridge
Wind Rock Ridge is the art studio of Shelley Leach. From July to October 2024, I participated in a unique artist retreat in Lennox & Addington County, Denbigh, Ontario. This website was valuable during that time.
I’m integrating all content from this site into my website at www.shelleyleach.com. It makes more sense to streamline my online presence into one platform. As a result, you will see decreasing updates here.

The summer of 2024 was dedicated to exploring the question:
have you ever wondered what inspires a landscape painting or the scenes captured in my studio? It’s a question I’ve been asked often over the years. This past summer, I felt that delving into this might provide insight into my process and what I bring back to my studio or incorporate into my art projects.
During my artist residency of 2024, I started my third major art series, drawing inspiration from Bon Echo Provincial Park, Mazinaw Rock, and the surrounding area as far as Algonquin Park , Ontario. I’ve spent a lot of time outdoors, finding creative energy in nature.
Photography is a hobby I take more serious all the time and have started to invest a bit more in improving my photography skills, its always been a critical part of my artistic process. However I am first, foremost and will always be a painter.
